They should be washed in cold water, and tumbled dry. The flannel will soften up every wash, but please do expect fading, especially with the brighter patterns. All our fabrics are pre-washed with Ivory Snow to prevent shrinkage.

I'm sorry but due to the nature of the product, we don't do exchanges or returns (unless there's a damage issue, of course). Due to the sensitivity of babies and the close proximity the blankies will have with them, we don't take back any blankies once delivered to ensure the lowest possible risk of exposure to contaminents like animal fur, perfumes, etc. Flannel and satin pick up smells and particles very quickly, and since our product is not vacuum-sealed, we have no way of knowing what it's been exposed to once delivered. It's a safeguard we've had to enforce to provide the safest product we can for babies and toddlers, to minimize any chance of irritation, or allergic reactions for our customers' children. Due to previous returns/exchanges we've had in the past, we've had to established this policy. Any concerns regarding this, please feel free to email Kathryn

Let me assure you that we only use fabrics that are child-friendly. Please know that children's drool when they're teething is extremely strong - it has to help the teeth break through the gums, after all :). Have you ever pulled out a bib or top that your child wore when they were younger and it has these yellow stains on it you never noticed before? And boy, they don't come out - there's that drool culprit again.
This drool causes sometimes the dyes to break down slightly in the flannel and bleed, depending on how strong/bright the dye is ( Example would be the Jungle Print and the strong, bright green ~ this is my son's favorite blankie ). Also depends on how much the child is using a certain area to chew or suck on.
It is perfectly safe and normal - part of the wear and tear the blankie is designed to take! The colours will settle down after a few washing and start to fade normally. Since we use the Jungle 24/7 , I know all about it :). All our patterns have been used and tested to be safe for babies and toddlers. Any concerns, please feel free to email Kathryn

It's perfectly normal and to be expected with satin. Satin, especially cuddle satin, is very susceptible to runs, pulls, due to being a delicate fabric.
To prevent runs or pulls during washing, place the blankie within a pillow case and tie closed, so as to not have it rub against anything within the washer or dryer.
Other than that, your blankie will develop these as it's being loved, and comes in contact with baby fingernails, being pulled around, etc...It's the nature of the fabric and cannot be avoided. Any concerns, please feel free to email Kathryn

We are able to offer this service on most of our blankets. Please visit each products page for details or chose the Personalized selections from the menu on the left

Once your order is placed, we sew it up within 4-6 business days. Orders placed on weekends are not processed until Monday. Personalized orders take longer to complete, approx 8-10 business days, since we send the blanket out to be embroidered before we construct it. We try and keep stock in all patterns, but we do run out, lol - especially during a sale. Should this occur we will contact you.
Once ready, your order is then shipped by Small Package Airmail. It usually takes 8-10 business days for your order to arrive in the mail, but may take up to 15 business days. We, unfortunately, can't control the Post Office. If after three full weeks (15 business days) your order has not arrived, contact us immediately

We've found that the size of the Buddy Blankie, approx. 18" square, is a good, usable size. It's not too big for parents to stash in a diaper bag or purse. And little ones have no trouble cuddling and dragging these around. When you start getting bigger, you start running into problems where it's almost too much blankie for them to handle. These are meant to be security blankies, not cover ups.
The Baby Buddy, our Travel size, are so parents can have one on hand all the time without worrying about oh my gosh, did you put it into the diaper bag? Lol, how many times has that happened :)? With the Baby Buddy, it's small enough to just be left in your diaper bag with your supplies and bring it out when needed. It's not to replace the Buddy Blankie, but to compliment it. We do recommend, though, you let your child spend time with it as well as their regular sized one so when you do use it, it's familiar and has their scent on it. As well, we've been told they're a great size for taking to daycare.

Studies have shown that satin picks up the scent of the baby and even the mother. That scent can be very calming to a child when they're upset, going to sleep, etc. It's soothing to the little one so they don't feel alone. The flannel also picks up scents as well as being soft and snuggly for the child to hold. We try and choose appealing patterns with bright images, but not busy to over-stimulate them . We realize a lot of our Buddy's travel into the crib/bed, and stimulating them at sleeptime is not a good thing :).
The Buddy Ears were designed for two different purposes. The knots are flexible and soft to ease teething pains - they can gently gnaw on them for fun or to work in those new teeth. The bunny ears are for comfort, rubbing against cheeks, etc. They also make great handles for dragging *smile*

We accept Visa and Mastercard through our secure processor, Beanstream. Amex and Discovery can be taken through Paypal. We also gladly accept money orders and personal cheques (with standard waiting time).

I sure did :). I couldn't find a proper blankie out there on the market to soothe my son's needs so out of necessity came the Buddy Blankie. And since my son was my little 'Buddy Bear' at the time, there's where the name came from.
My son actually has a few, lol, but his first and favorite is his Jungle Patterned one. It is well worn and loved - he won't be without it
